Pre-treatment – All waste that ends up at landfill now has to be pre-treated prior to disposal. This means it either has to have some recycling activity at source or it needs to go to a location where recycling activities take place prior to final disposal at landfill. Duty of Care – As the producer of the waste you have a duty of care to ensure that it is disposed of effectively and appropriately. You are required to sign a duty of care note which is a commitment that the container only contains the type of waste on the duty of care note which is in line with the European Waste Code (EWC). These are supplied by us on an annual basis free of charge.
